Brad Pitt Remains Positive He’ll Get Joint Custody Of Kids With Angelina Jolie

As the divorce proceedings continue, actor Brad Pitt is still battling for joint custody of the kids he has with ex-wife Angelina Jolie.

But a source close to the star has recently revealed to The Sun that the 53-year old is pretty confident he will succeed in his fight for shared parenting over his six children.

Since the announcement of their shocking split a few months ago, the Academy award winner has been striving to ensure he sees as much of his children as possible.

Pitt has only been allowed supervised visits with Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 10 and twins Knox and Vivienne, aged 8, since Angelina filed for divorce in September 2016.

Jolie, who fell in love with Pitt when they were co-stars on Mr & Mrs Smith, originally said she wanted to have full custody of the couple’s children in the divorce documents.

Brad is feeling positive about the temporary agreement of supervised visits being lifted when the divorce is finalised, and hopes he will play just as big of a role in the kids’ lives as Angelina will.

The Hollywood actor’s source revealed that the way Ange has acted during the highly emotional court battle with Brad will work in his favour.

Talking to The Sun, they said,

This is a massive victory for Brad because all he ever wanted was joint custody. At no point did he ever want to take the kids away from Angelina, which she initially tried to do him. Brad Pitt’s lawyers believe the court will look badly on Angelina’s negative PR campaign against him.

The source continued,

Things have come full circle since they announced their separation. Obviously anything can happen and things could still change, but right now the negotiations are looking very positive for Brad.

Brad has recently been seen in public looking a lot happier, giving more reason for fans to believe that he will triumph in court.

The couple, who were once deemed Hollywood’s hottest couple, agreed in the New Year to keep their divorce proceedings and custody battle out of the public eye for the sake of their children’s happiness.
