Madonna Celebrates July 4th 2017 With Adopted Twins: “Happy Independence Day”

July 4 was a family-filled event for Madonna this year, as she celebrated with all of her adopted children.

The music icon took to Twitter to wish her 1.6 million followers a ‘happy Independence Day’.

But it’s the heartwarming selfie of her and her kids which has her fans swooning.

She wrote:

Happiness is contagious! Happy Independence Day!

Her tweet includes celebratory emojis, with rainbows, balloons and of course the United States flag.

The ‘Material Girl’ was beaming as she smiled alongside her very happy children.

Posing alongside their pop star mom are the newest additions to the family, Esther and Stella.

The four-year old sisters relocated from Malawi to New York in February this year.

And if the star’s sweet Instagram snaps are anything to go by, the twins are already settling in well.

The 58-year old singer first heard about the adorable siblings while doing charity work in the East African country.

She became “compelled” to adopt them, having already taken two Malawian children into her care.

Her son, David Banda, was the first of the four to be adopted from Malawi, with him joining Madonna and ex-husband, Guy Ritchie, in 2006.

Madonna’s daughter, Mercy James, came to live with her in 2009.

And it seems the elder siblings are bonding well with their new sisters.

In true Madonna-style, the ’80s icon also shared three snaps on July 4th to mark the holiday.

She wrote, “GOD BLESS AMERICA” over three consecutive snaps of her over the years.

And it’s clear the ‘Like A Prayer’ star has always been a very patriotic artist.

Sharing some throwback snaps of her in some USA-inspired dress, Madonna took a look back at her varied career.

Many believe the songstress is currently working on her own biopic film.

This consequently comes after a former script got loads of details wrong about her life.

And the LGBT icon is now taking the biography film into her own hands.

She wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post,

I was born in Detroit, and I’m a famed high school dropout. ‘Lets start with the first page!! I was born in Bay City Not Detroit. And I did not drop out of high school in fact I went to University Of.Michigan. Why would Universal Studios want to make a movie about me based on a script that is all lies??

The iconic singer then hinted in a separate post that she is working on the film herself.
