The Untold Story Of Brett Favre And His Family
Brett Favre is one of the strongest, most powerful, and most recognisable quarterbacks in the NFL.
He came from a loving family and a childhood home that was big enough to welcome everyone, yet Favre’s life hasn’t been all success and good memories during his almost two-decade long career.
Favre has experienced a lot of pain and suffering during his journey – from the texting scandals involving hostesses and massage therapists to his severe addiction to prescription painkillers – yet he was still inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame. Let’s take a closer look at Favre’s rollercoaster story.
The untold story
A talented quarterback with a magical hand, Favre has played for a number of teams, including the Atlanta Falcons, the New York Jets, and the Minnesota Vikings. Off the field however, he dealt with pill addiction, the death of his father and struggled with the upbringing of his two daughters. It hasn’t been an easy path for one of the league’s most influential stars.
An exceptional talent
Brett Favre grew up in the small town of Kiln, Mississippi – located an hour outside of New Orleans and half an hour from Biloxi. The tiny town of just 2,000 people ensured that Favre’s exceptional skills would quickly showcase him as a big fish in a small pond.
The childhood home
When they moved to Kiln, the Favre family settled into a giant house with a huge deck that they built themselves. They were always up for a party, and sources say that Favre’s father was always up for a party as long as he didn’t have to leave the house. Not only was the house the perfect setting for a party, but they were also spoilt with enough acreage to hunt and fish to their hearts’ desire.
