By 2001, Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani had set up the most successful design company that Italy had ever produced. With an annual turnover of $1.6 billion and a personal fortune of $8.5 billion (as of 2013), Armani had to spend his money on something extravagant. The Codecasa-built yacht named Main stretches 65 metres long and has an exquisite black finish. Armani is a smart man however, and uses the boat for photoshoots as well as hosting awesome parties.
Roman Abramovich – Eclipse
This Russian billionaire is a businessman, investor and politician who knows exactly what he’s doing with his money. Abramovich owns the majority of shares in the private investment company Millhouse LLC and is the owner of Chelsea Football Club. As of 2015, he is the 12th richest person in Russia, not to mention the 137th richest person in the world. That title doesn’t come lightly, so Abramovich forked out for this 163.5 metre long yacht – the second largest privately owned yacht in the world!
The Eclipse was designed by Terence Disdale, the same person who designed Mansour Bin Sultan Zayed Al Nahyan’s yacht, “Topaz” and is worth around $380 million. This gorgeous yacht is made up of 24 guest cabins, two swimming pools, a mini submarine, and 70 crew members; and among all of that, there is even a missile defense system and two helicopter pads – because apparently you just never know.

Estimated to be worth around $475 million, blowing $65 million on The Maraya was an easy purchase for Combs. No expense was spared on the projector screen, stage, and a party floor with a built-in bar on the top deck. With a minimum staff of 10 people on board, Combs also welcomes some sizzling ladies on his big boat.
Dolce & Gabbana – Regina d’ Italia
With an established name such as Dolce & Gabbana onboard, you know this yacht is going to ooze style. They might design, produce and sell the latest in high-fashion, but this pair also know how to party. The 51-metre long Regina d’ Italia hosts endless parties for celebrities and models, and it looks like the most enjoyable place to be in the ocean with that water slide!
Diane von Furstenberg – Eos
“Eos” is a three-masted Bermuda rigged schooner that also happens to be one of the largest private sailing yachts in the world. First launched in Bremen, German in 2006, the yacht was designed by Bill Langen and Francois Catroux, and is valued at more than $150 million. Diane bought it with her billionaire husband, Barry Diller, and together they sail the seas with 21 crew members and enough room for 16 guests.
Steve and Laurence Jobs – Venus
The co-founder, chairman and CEO of Apple Inc made his fortune in the most unlikely of ways. After dropping out of college and traveling around India to study Buddhism, Jobs eventually set his sights on creating something that would change the world for years to come. He spent his profits on commissioning this yacht to be built by Phillippe Starck, which showcases glass features inspired by the Apple Store designs. It includes six bedrooms with a top-of-the-line electronic communication system to facilitate communication throughout the ship and a group of 27-inch iMac computers. Jobs’ widow, Laurene Powell Jobs, is the current owner of the vessel now, which is worth $120 million.
Johnny Depp – Vajoliroja
Hollywood Actor Johnny Depp has numerous huge blockbuster hits under his belt; including the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Edward Scissorhands. He decided to spend his earnings on this 47 metre long modern classic super-yacht that was built by Proteksan Turquoise in Turkey. The name “Vajoliroja” might not mean anything to you, but Depp got creative when creating the name. “Va” was his girlfriend Vanessa Paradis, “jo” is for Depp himself, “liro” is for his daughter Lily Rose and “ja” is for his son Jack.
J.K. Rowling – Vajoliroja
Never thought you’d see that boat name again, did you? Well Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling purchased the super-yacht from Johnny Depp himself. Sadly Rowling had buyer’s remorse almost instantly and regretted buying the vessel. Despite only buying the motor yacht recently, Rowling put the yacht up for sale at just over $15 million but she reportedly paid $22 million for the luxury vessel. After chartering it for a vacation with her husband Neil Murray and their two children Rowling fell in love and made the impulse buy.
Nicole Kidman – Hokulani
The Aussie actress is probably out celebrating the huge success of “Big Little Lies” on this stunning yacht. Along with her country singer partner Keith Urban, the pair invested in the Hokulani. Designed by Nuvolari & Lenard, the boat was built down under by Palmer Johnson Yachts. It includes a master stateroom, VIP double stateroom and several twin cabins that can accommodate up to 10 guests. With finishes such as glossy Cherrywood throughout the ship, there’s a huge sense of luxury.
Andrey Melnichenko – A
More money buys bigger boats, which is something that Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko – who has a net worth of $8 billion – is living up to. Melnichenko is the founder of MDM Bank, and co-founder of Eurochem and Suek. His luxury yacht, named “A,” was designed by Philippe Starck with no expenses spared. With a big emphasis put on security, Melnichenko beefed up the yacht with 44 security cameras and bomb-proof windows. It sounds like he has some pretty serious enemies.
This is what the private jet of the richest man in the world, Bill Gates, looks like. It is a luxurious Bombardier BD-700 Global Express. It has been reported that the fuel tank is big enough to travel nearly anywhere in the world, without stopping.

We’re sure there’s room for the whole family on this 213ft yacht, which was a 32nd birthday present for Beyonce that set hubby Jay-Z back $70 million. Up to 12 guests can sleep on the Galactica Star, which also has a swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi on board just in case the sea isn’t enough.
The king of rap may have 99 problems, but a private jet is not one. His wife, Beyonce purchased a Bombardier Challenge 850 as a Father’s Day gift to Jay-Z. The jet is filled with wooden tables that have been hand-carved from mahogany, comfortable leather seats with a built in massage system – flying has never been so comfortable.
Richard Branson – Necker Belle
If you’ve ever been on a Virgin train, plane or used Virgin internet then chances are you know who Richard Branson is. He’s one of the wealthiest and most successful businessmen in the world, and it’s safe to say he never has to worry about money ever again in his lifetime. The English entrepreneur was worth $5.2 billion in 2016, so this figure is expected to have risen further since then. He’s always been into sailing so buying a yacht was a logical move. However, Branson didn’t buy just any boat – he bought one of the fastest catamarans in the world. Necker Belle can travel up to 20 knots and Branson hires it out to others for the cost of $100,000 per week – not too much then.

The Calvin Klein branded exploded after using Marky Mark and Kate Moss in his advertising campaigns, and it brought Mr Klein an impressive net worth of $700 million. He spent a chunk of that on this super-yacht, named “Vantage.” It was built by Palmer Johnson, designed by Nuvolari & Lenard and if often used as a party boat. The 45.7 metre long yacht offers an enhanced exterior space, an onboard BBQ, bar, jacuzzi and relaxation pads – where can we can get our invite?!

Billy Joel once owned five boats at one time, but has scaled back to keep his favourite ‘Vendetta’, a 57-foot long classic yacht. The $1.2 million boat is modest compared to some of the others in our list but you can’t deny it’s stunning beauty.

Not only does Giorgio Armani own Main, but he also owns Mariu. Measuring in a 163 feet, this yachts can sleep 12 guests very comfortably across six cabins. The interior was famously designed by Armani to include the latest in technology. It’s got Quantum zero speed stabilizers, a Kaliedescape AMX audio-visual system, and (of course) wireless VSAT broadband. Represented by Robert Dubsky at Masters, Armani sold the Mariu to Greek shipping tycoon Andreas Hadjiyiannis in 2011.
Nicholas Cage – Sarita
In 2012 the IRS demanded money from Cage for unpaid taxes and loans. In order to pay the money the hollywood star had to sell real estate, jewellery and vehicles. The one thing he kept was his yacht ‘Sarita’ worth an estimated $20 million!
John Travolta not only owns his own jet, but he is also a certified private pilot that has more than one private jet to play with. This action star has the fleet to support any travel destination that he and friends/family would want to go on.
Mansour bin Sultan Zayed Al Nahyan – Topaz
Full name Mansour bin Zayed bin Sultan bin Zayed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan is more commonly known as Sheikh Mansour. The deputy prime minister of the United Arab Emirates is also the minister of presidential affairs and a member of the ruling family of Abu Dhabi. He paid a staggering $527 million for this 482 feet long stunning boat, which is longer than some of the cruise ships that sail the waters! The yacht offers a gym, swimming pool, two hot tubs, movie theatre and two helicopter ports.
Bono – Kingdom Come
Bono is known for his charity work and donations, but as you can see by his incredible yacht named ‘Kingdom Come’ he likes to splash the cash on himself too. The 198-foot long ship reportedly cost the U2 singer $22 million!
Angelina Jolie is known for her love of aviation. Here she is stepping into her own Cirrus SR22 – she has actually been a private pilot since 2004 after promising her little boy Maddox that she would learn to fly.
Award winning actor Morgan Freeman has is very own SJ30. Of course Freeman is badass enough to be his very own pilot.
The golfing legend purchased this Gulfstream G550 for a mean $54 million. The jet has the efficiency to fly for 12 hours none stop and can fit up to 18 passengers on board.

Multimillionaire and Bill Gates’ best friend, Paul Allen is the co-founder of Microsoft. He is one of the 50 richest people in the world and is worth about $18 billion. Not only foes he own the Seattle Seahawks and the Portland Trail Blazers, but he also owns this beautiful yacht. It features two helipads – because apparently just one isn’t enough – a spa, recording studio, multiple game rooms, a hot tub, swimming pool, movie theatres and two submarines incase he wants to do a spot of diving.

Billionaire David Geffen is an American business magnate, producer, film studio executive and philanthropist, but you might know him better as the co-founder of DreamWorks. The Rising Sun is reportedly worth an impressive $300 million, and it’s easy to see why as it’s the world’s 10th largest yacht. Able to accommodate 12 guests and 30 crew members alongside a gym, spa, wine cellar and basketball court, it’s a wonder why anyone would ever leave this boat.
Edge – The Cyan
It seems that it’s not just Bono who has used his U2 cash to splash on a yacht. Real name David Evans, the Edge owns this 160-foot superyacht which can entertain 12 guests. He actually rents it out to people at a modest sum of $192,000 a week!
Sir Philip Green – Lionheart
British businessman Sir Philip Nigel Ross Green is most commonly known for his work as chairman of the Arcadia Group, a retail company that includes Topshop, Topman, Wallis, Miss Selfridge and previously BHS. The controversy surrounding the demise of BHS led Green a lot of time in the press, but it appears he’s not strapped for cash. The 206-foot long vessel named Lionheart includes an electrically designed sun deck, high-class bar, and an on-deck swimming pool. A large crew is required to keep it running, and Green recently changed the name from Lionheart to Lioness V.
Steven Spielberg – Seven Seas
American director, producer, and screenwriter Steven Allan Spielberg is considered to be one of the founding pioneers of the New Hollywood era. Some of his most popular productions include E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, The Color Purple, Empire of the Sun, Schindler’s List, Saving Private Ryan, and Jurassic Park, so he has a dollar or two in his account. Spielberg bought the 86 metre long yacht named Seven Seas for its infinity pool and 15-foot glass wall that can be converted into a cinema screen. The yacht was built by Oceanco from a design by the Nuvolari Lenard Design company.
Tiger Woods – Privacy
In his prime, professional golfer Tiger Woods won 14 major titles; including winning the US Open, Masters, US PGA and the British Open. In fact, he’s so successful that he considered it to be a disappointment if he finished in the top 10. After a messy divorce with the now ex-wife, Woods bought a 47 metre long yacht that is quite ironically named Privacy.
In 2013, Brad and wife Angelina spent £250 million on this ‘super-yacht’! Insane! We wonder who gets it in the divorce….
