Soulja Boy Makes Public Apology To Chris Brown
It wouldn’t be a new year without a new celebrity feud – and kicking things off for 2017 were American rapper Soulja Boy and rival artist Chris Brown.
The hot-headed duo had a spat over Twitter on Monday night after Soulja Boy “liked” a photo of Karreuche Tran, Brown’s ex-girlfriend, on Instagram. The former couple called it quits in 2015 after a turbulent on-off relationship.
Karrueche dumped Brown when she found out he’d cheated on her and fathered a child with Nia Guzman.
Soulja hit out on Twitter accusing Brown of calling him and expressing his anger over him “liking” Tran’s social media snap, but Brown retaliated calling the rapper a ‘snitch’ which led to a series of outraged tweets.
Their war of words soon spiralled out of control, with the pair even threatening each other to a boxing match.
It was clear Soulja was outraged, sending explicit tweets to Brown, ‘Aye @chrisbrown pull up n**** I’ll knock yo B**** Ass out stop snorting so much coke n****’.
He even went one step further to bring up Chris Brown’s abusive past – ‘Chris Brown think he hard cuz he hit a woman. And jumped a fan at his house party on New Years lmao u can’t fight B**** do that s*** to me’.
But it seems the bad-boy rapper has had a few days to think about his actions, and has stepped forward with an apology to Brown and his fans in a selfie video.
I just want to send an apology, over the past couple of months, I been acting out, I been wilding out… at the end of the day it’s not about who start the beefs, its about who ends them.
The 26-year old rapper, best known for this debut single ‘Crank That (Soulja Boy)’ in 2007, seemed to open his eyes to his wild behaviour after he received news that his mom was in hospital.
No amount of money, no amount of cars, no amount of fame will make me be alright knowing my mom is sick or anything happening to my mom.
The apologetic star even went on to claim he wants to make music with Brown, just days after lashing out at him.
Chris Brown is yet to comment on the rapper’s apology – will we be seeing a make-up duet from the fiery duo in 2017?
