Filming is underway for the upcoming movie Ocean’s Eight and it’s been confirmed that world famous reality star Kim Kardashian has joined the casting list.

The 36-year old will be making a cameo appearance in the next addition to the Ocean’s movie franchise, alongside her half sister Kendall Jenner.

Ocean’s Eight will be the fourth instalment in the movie series, coming after Ocean’s Eleven, Ocean’s Twelve and Ocean’s Thirteen.

The mom of two was spotted in New York on Monday, January 17, alongside Kendall after they reportedly filmed their cameo roles.

It comes as a shock for both the movie producers and Kim’s fans that the Keeping Up With The Kardashian star has agreed to go through with the role, particularly as one scene in the movie features a jewel robbery at New York’s annual Met Gala – a subject very close to home for the star.

Kim and Kendall are thought to be appearing in scenes set at a gala event being held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The social media sensation, who married famous rapper Kanye West in 2014, was left emotionally traumatised after being robbed at gunpoint in her hotel room in Paris last October.

The shocking event led Kim to take a hiatus from her life in the spotlight, with the star being very quiet on her social media channels in the latter part of 2016.

It appears the brunette has made a comeback into the public eye at a time when there have been more developments than ever into what really happened the night of the robbery.

17 people were arrested in connection with the incident, which is now thought to have been an inside job. Kim’s chauffeur was thought to be involved by letting the criminals know exactly where she was at all times.

10 million dollars worth of Kim’s jewellery was stolen as the robbers tied her up in the hotel bathtub and took off with her possessions.

The movie is set to hit our screens in June 2018.
