Robin Thicke Attends Family Therapy During Custody Battle
Robin Thicke and his ex-wife Paula Patton took part in a family therapy session with their six-year old son Julian.
The trio saw a professional therapist on Saturday January 14, as the former couple go through a custody battle to determine who Julian will live with.
Although they’ve gone through a divorce, Robin and Paula are determined to keep things civil for the sake of their son.
The family met with a therapist on the weekend in a bid to work together and figure out a solution to their breakup.
They plan on having several therapy sessions to ensure the best possible outcome is reached and that Julian is happy.
Although the Blurred Lines singer and his ex-wife are trying to keep things amicable, it hasn’t been all plain sailing since their divorce.
It was reported that Robin was supposed to have Julian over the weekend, but Paula breached their custody agreement and refused Thicke’s access to his son.
This caused Robin to call police to Patton’s home, reporting her for violating their agreement.
US Weekly reported:
They were supposed to work out something on Friday night after the incident for Julian to see Robin… They were going to try to have a nanny and security guard bring Julian to a park to be with Robin for an hour, but Julian did not want to go.
Thicke, who has worked with the likes of Nicki Minaj and Pharrell Williams over the years, has been investigated for claims of child abuse towards his son.
It was his son Julian that told teachers at school that his dad had ‘spanked’ him on more than one occasion.
The 39-year old fought back saying he only ever used light spanking which is in agreement with the law and something him and his ex-wife Paula thought of as a good discipline method.
