Jennifer Aniston Is Returning To The Small Screen & Looking For New TV Role
America’s sweetheart Jennifer Aniston has announced she wants to drop her blockbuster movie roles and go back to the small screen in a recent interview.
Jen graced our TV screens as Rachel Green on the timeless sitcom Friends from 1994 to 2004.
We’ve seen her in huge Hollywood hits since then such as Marley & Me, We’re The Millers, Just Go With It, Horrible Bosses and more during her film career, but it turns out Miss Aniston wants to return to the medium that made her famous in the first place.
Talking to Variety magazine, Jen opened up about her decision to go back to TV roles.
I’ve thought about it a lot. That’s where the work is. That’s where the quality is.
Despite a hugely successful film career, with her award wins including ‘Movie Performance of the Year’ at the People’s Magazine Awards (2015) for Cake, the blonde actress explained further her decision to ditch the movie roles.
‘At this point in my career, I want to be part of wonderful stories, exciting characters, and also just having a good time.
The star, who’s married to actor, screenwriter and director Justin Theroux, also spoke about what type of show and TV company she would like to go.
‘Anywhere would be a wonderful place. Netflix, Amazon—everything you’re seeing on television is fantastic.
The Friends star did admit that she’s lucky to have been able to travel so much during her time as a movie goddess.
When you’re in your 20s, going away from home was an adventure. Meeting new people—seeing other parts of the country or world—was so exciting.
Now it’s really about wanting to stay closer to home and just enjoying your time. It goes really fast.
It’s not just acting for the small screen that interests the Hollywood actress, she also wants to turn her talents to producing like her husband.
There’s something very exciting about being part of a project from the seed of it, and putting it together…you just feel so proud of it on another level.
We can’t wait to see what 2017 will bring for the actress.
