Khloé Kardashian Celebrates Name Change – No Longer An ‘Odom’
While she’s known to most as reality star and socialite Khloé Kardashian, the 32-year old is currently celebrating having her well-known name back following her divorce from former basketball player Lamar Odom.
The Keeping up with the Kardashians sister confirmed yesterday that she no longer carries the last name Odom, and is back to her good old Kardashian ways.
The Revenge Body star thought there was no better way to celebrate the name change than with a gigantic cake, iced with a picture of her shiny new license.
Older sister Kim Kardashian, who brought the family to stardom in 2007 through a leaked sex tape with rapper Ray J, took to Snapchat to show off the unique cake Khloé’s assistants had bought for her.
You guys, look what Khloé’s assistants got for her because she got a new passport without her old last name. It’s her new last name.
The ladies went all out to celebrate the occasion, with the words ‘Happy Name Change!’ being written at the bottom of the cake in frosting.
While it was her sister Kim who showed off the news on social media, Khloé was heard in the background of one of the videos saying, ‘it’s a good day’.
Hinting at just how good the divorce is for the star, Khloé’s friends tweaked her license to read her address as ’30 Freedom Lane’ and her weight as ‘Skinny B**ch’ to highlight the model’s amazing weight loss transformation over previous months.
After going through a turbulent time during her seven year marriage, and then a pretty nasty divorce, with Lamar, the Kardashian sister appears to have moved on from her ex-husband.
She is currently dating NBA player Tristan Thompson and appears happier than ever.
Her divorce from Odom got put on hold in October 2015 after the sports star overdosed in a brothel in Las Vegas.
Proceedings resumed again towards the end of 2016.
A source closed to the Kardashian family revealed to E! News that even though the former husband and wife are now divorced, there is no bad blood between them after everything they’ve been through.
‘There will always be a deep affection there for one another, but both of them have moved on. This divorce provides a natural end to that chapter in their life.’
