Ed Sheeran Was Refused Entry To His Own Grammys After Party – Again
He was one of the hottest acts of the night, but British singer songwriter Ed Sheeran was denied entry to his own Grammys after party.
And if that’s not bad enough, this is the fourth time it’s happened to the red headed superstar.
Sheeran took to the stage at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday night to perform his latest number one hit ‘Shape of You’.
As the awards ceremony ended, the stars of the night headed off to the exclusive L.A after parties.
But Ed didn’t manage to get into his own record label’s after party, and had to finish off the celebrations elsewhere.
After just one hour, the venue had reached its capacity meaning no other guests – even Sheeran – could enter.
The ‘Thinking Out Loud’ singer revealed in an interview on On Air With Ryan Seacrest that this isn’t the first time it’s happened.
That’s actually happened four years in a row, and that’s not just my label’s after-party, that’s just after-parties in general.
The worldwide star revealed that the after party scene is actually full of wannabes and not many of those who are in the music industry tend to go.
It’s just – do you know what I don’t get… it’s like you walk into those parties and there’s four musicians there and everyone else there are people from LA who didn’t even go to the Grammys and just want a party to go to.
Ed didn’t finish his night there though; he ended up going to Benny Blanco and Diply’s party. Yet once that venue was full with 2,000 plus party-goers, Ed called it a night and headed home.
His new album Divide is set for release on March 3.
If you don’t think you can hold your excitement until then, the Suffolk born artist also announced during the radio show that he is dropping a new song this Friday called ‘How Would You Feel’.
