Jamie Lynn Spears’ Daughter Maddie Returns To School After Quad Bike Accident

Maddie Aldridge, daughter of Jamie Lynn Spears, is making a slow but steady recovery since the ATV accident almost two weeks ago that left her seriously injured.

The 8-year old became unconscious after the quad bike she was a passenger in flipped over and left her submerged underwater for several minutes.

The Zoey 101 star wasn’t with her daughter at the time of the accident, which occurred in Kentwood, Louisiana.

Both mom Jamie Lynn and other close family, including Jamie Lynn’s older sister Britney Spears, were extremely worried for Maddie’s well-being after the freak accident, but it’s now been revealed that the little girl is on the mend.

She returned to school on February 14 to give out Valentines Day treats to her fellow classmates.

Her mom, who made headlines when she became pregnant with Maddie at just the age of 16, took to Instagram to show how much her daughter is improving since the incident.

Maddie isn’t quite ready to return to school, but her doctors did clear her to bring in her Valentine’s Day treats to her class today. It made her so happy to see her friends, and be able to give them such cute treats. It was a great moment for us after everything that has happened. We are so thankful to celebrate Valentine’s Day with the ones we love, and we don’t take a second of it for granted ❤️Happy Valentine’s Day❤️

Even though Maddie was wearing a seatbelt while sitting in the ATV, the vehicle swerved out of control and flipped over when the driver was trying to avoid a drainage ditch.

She was admitted to the Children’s Hospital in New Orleans following the crash.

They released a statement last week to announce that the 8-year old had finally regained consciousness, and that luckily Maddie had suffered no ‘neurological consequences’.

Britney Spears, Maddie’s auntie, revealed just how happy she was that her niece was able to return home last week.

‘So grateful that Maddie was able to go home today… it’s truly a miracle. Our prayers were heard, and they were answered! Thank you so much for all of your love and support this week. My family appreciates it more than you will ever know.’
