Jennifer Garner To File For Divorce From Ben Affleck Two Years On From Their Split
It’s been almost two years since one of Hollywood’s hottest couples – Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck – announced they were splitting up after ten years of marriage.
But the 13 Going On 30 actress has now announced she’s finally ready to take the next step in her separation from Affleck, and is preparing to file for divorce from the actor.
Sparks first flew between the pair when they were both working on set of the film Pearl Harbor in 2001. Two years later, they became co-stars again in the movie Daredevil, and it was then that they really fell in love.
Since getting wed in June 2005, the famous ex-couple went on to have three children; Violet, aged 11, Seraphina, 8, and their little boy Samuel who is now 4-years old.
Now Garner, 44, feels as though the time has come to officially split from her former husband.
But a source revealed to US Weekly that there is no animosity between the pair.
No matter what happens, Ben and Jen are committed to raising their family as one unit and will continue to do so as it has worked for them. They are both committed to their family.
Affleck, who has focused more on developing his directing career in recent years, is said to have since moved out of the family’s Brentwood mansion.
It was thought that soon after their split, Affleck began dating the family nanny, Christine Ouzounian, who started caring for the couple’s children when they went through a secret 10-month separation.
They were also reportedly in couple’s therapy for years before they split. Since their break up, Garner and Affleck have remained on good terms.
Jennifer told Vanity Fair in February 2016 that she still loves the Batman actor.
He’s the love of my life. What am I going to do about that? He’s the most brilliant person in any room, the most charismatic, the most generous. He’s just a complicated guy. I always say, ‘When his sun shines on you, you feel it.’ But when the sun is shining elsewhere, it’s cold. He can cast quite a shadow.
There has recently been speculation that Affleck wants to get out of his upcoming Batman role in Justice League and focus more on the directing side of things.
Yet a recent statement released by Hollywood Life claims that the 44-year old film star is still set to take on the famous role, which will hit our screens in November, 2017.
