Beyoncé Pulls Out Of Coachella 2017 Due To Doctor’s Orders
The Beehive won’t be seeing their queen perform under the California sunshine this spring, as Beyoncé has sadly been forced to drop out of this year’s Coachella.
Beyoncé was set to headline the festival that takes place in the Colorado desert, on April 15 and April 22, 2017, but the pregnant star has been advised to pull out of the gig by her doctor.
Coachella organisers don’t want to get rid of the ‘Love On Top’ singer that easily though, and have promised that Bey will headline the annual festival in 2018 instead.
A statement released by Coachella yesterday read,
Following advice of doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule, Beyonce has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival.
However, Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival. Thank you for your understanding.
Other stars confirmed for Coachella this year are iconic British band Radiohead, and US rap star Kendrick Lamar, who will do a weekend each at the festival.
Bey debuted her baby bump at the Grammys earlier this month with her proud husband Jay-Z watching in the crowd.
She did a killer performance of her Lemonade hits ‘Love Drought’ and ‘Sandcastles’ on the night.
The pop diva also took home two awards from the event; scooping the prize for Best Music Video for ‘Formation’ and coming out on top for Best Urban Contemporary Album for Lemonade.
The talented singer was beaten in all the other categories she was nominated in by Adele, but the London-born star preceded to dedicate her awards to Beyoncé for being a huge inspiration in the music industry.
By the time Coachella festival comes around this year, Beyoncé will be quite heavily pregnant, with it being estimated the twins are due in June.
The 35-year old is already a mom to five-year old daughter Blue Ivy, but now has twins – rumoured to be a boy and a girl – on the way, adding to the Carter family.
