It’s Over For Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom: Couple Split After Just 10 Months Together
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s relationship has surprisingly come to an end after almost a year together.
The shocking split comes just days after the hot duo posed for photos together at the Vanity Fair Oscars After Party on Sunday night.
Despite them not walking the red carpet together – Katy arrived with writer Derek Blasberg – all seemed well between the pair over the weekend.
A statement released by both Perry’s and Bloom’s reps confirms the news that they are going their separate ways.
Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time.
Everything seemed well between the former Hollywood couple over recent months despite constant breakup rumours; in January Katy threw a surprise birthday bash for Orlando’s 40th birthday.
He even joined the 32-year-old pop star and her family for Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations at the end of last year.
The ‘Chained To The Rhythm’ singer – who just debuted her new blonde locks – and the Lord of the Rings actor went public with their relationship last March.
They attended the 2016 Golden Globes together to showcase their romance to the world.
They followed that with romantic trips around the world and certainly didn’t shy away from a lot of PDA for the paparazzi to capture on camera.
Last summer, the couple were allegedly talking about marriage and children, with an insider saying, ‘Katy has always wanted [to get married and have children] when she met the man she was ready to settle down with’, and Bloom certainly seemed like the perfect guy.
Just two days ago, the 40-year-old English actor took to Instagram and shared a selfie with Katy’s dog Butters saying ‘a mighty heart’, making the sudden split even more shocking for their fans.
Katy is currently preparing for the promotion of her fourth studio album, which is yet to be released, and various performances and press appearances to go along with it.
2017 is set to be a big year for Orlando too, with the release of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales along with other movies such as Romans and S.M.A.R.T Chase.
The pair have yet to speak out themselves about the breakup, but the statement released by their reps suggests things are amicable between the now ex-couple.
