Katy Perry Speaks Out About Orlando Bloom Split: ‘No One’s A Victim Or Villain’
After a whirlwind year together, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom called it quits this week, much to the heartache of their adoring fans.
The ‘Changed To The Rhythm’ singer has finally spoken out about the shocking split, taking to Twitter to address the breakup to her 90+ million followers.
And it seems the newly blonde pop star wants everyone to know that there is no bad blood between her and ex-boyfriend Bloom, saying,
HOW BOUT A NEW WAY OF THINKING FOR 2017!? U can still b friends & love ur former partners! No one’s a victim or a villain, get a life y’all!
The couple appear to have split on amicable terms, with a previous statement from both of their reps confirming they are ‘taking respectful, loving space at this time’.
Both Katy and Orlando have been in high-profile relationships before; with Bloom previously being married to Miranda Kerr – whom he divorced in 2013 – and Katy having a rollercoaster relationship with ex-hubbie and British comedian Russell Brand which ended in 2012.
All seemed well between the English actor and the pop diva on Sunday night at the Vanity Fair Oscars after party, as they posed for a picture together at the event.
And just two days before they announced they were going their separate ways, the Lord of the Rings star posted a selfie with Katy’s adorable dog Butters, suggesting all was as it should be between the Hollywood couple.
Katy seems to be taking to the single life well however, opting for a new pixie-cut hairdo, which she showcased on an Instagram video yesterday.
Perry’s new Miley Cyrus inspired locks suggest she’s ready for the next chapter and is taking to the single life well.
Her fourth studio album is due for release this year, with ‘Chained to the Rhythm’ being her latest single release.
