Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Reportedly Talking Again

It’s been six months since they announced their divorce, but it’s now being reported that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are back on speaking terms despite their turbulent split.

The couple, previously known in Hollywood as ‘Brangelina’, seem to be putting their kids first amid their divorce settlement.

Two months ago, Pitt and Jolie hired a private judge to handle their divorce case, keeping a lot of the details and outcomes out of the public eye for the sake of their six children.

A source close to the pair spoke to E! Online, saying,

Things have calmed [and] settled between Brad and Angelina. It’s not as tense as it had been. They are focused on the kids and working to do what’s best for them.

The pair are said to be on ‘cordial’ speaking terms now the reality of their situation has sunk in.

The insider continued,

They recently started talking again and it’s a significant step. Up until now everything was through lawyers and assistants. They did not speak at all after the plane incident and everything that went down in the press. [Their communication came] at the recommendation of the children’s therapists and their own. [They] are…taking small steps to mend what has happened. Right now they are only speaking about the kids and their schedules, but it’s a positive step.

It’s been a whirlwind time for the ex-husband and wife; they parted ways last September after it was rumoured that Pitt was physically violent toward their son Maddox on their private jet, with authorities having to get involved.

Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8, recently went on holiday with their mom Ange to Cambodia.

Jolie was over there promoting her most recent film First They Killed My Father, a movie that tells the true story of Khmer Rouge’s genocide from a child’s perspective.

Brad meanwhile has been spending a lot of time in Thomas Houseago’s studio in Los Angeles working on a sculpture and taking some downtime out of the public eye.

Pitt is set to star in the upcoming Netflix movie War Machine.
