Daniel Craig To Return For Next Bond Film

Daniel Craig is returning to his iconic role as James Bond for a final time.

The 49-year old actor is almost certainly reprising his part as the famous MI5 spy.

The news comes as a surprise following Craig’s comments last year that he would ‘rather slash [his] wrists’ than make a return.

Columbia Pictures

Page Six are now reporting that producer Barbara Broccoli has been persuading Daniel to play Bond for a fifth time.

The pair have been working together on US show Othello.

Working with Barbara has consequently made the British actor more willing to go back to Bond.

A source revealed,

Daniel had such a good time in ‘Othello,’ produced by Barbara, that he’s ready to do a final Bond.

Another insider disclosed,

They have a script – screenwriting duo Neal Purvis and Robert Wade are writing – and they’ll go into production as soon as Daniel is ready to commit.

Last year, Daniel declined a staggering £68 million offer to sign up for two more Bond films.

Other British stars, such as Tom Hiddleston, Tom Hardy and Idris Elba, have been hot favourites to replace him.

Barbara Broccoli doesn’t like Tom Hiddleston, he’s a bit too smug and not tough enough to play James Bond.

Hardy fuelled rumours he could be taking over the role when he refused to comment on the matter.

There’s a saying amongst us in the fraternity of acting, that if you talk about it you’re automatically out of the race.

So I can’t possibly comment on that one!

Craig is the longest serving Bond star, having appeared in the films for eleven years.

The next addition will be the 25th instalment in the world famous franchise.
