Kendall Jenner Is The Inspiration Behind Harry Styles Debut Album
Harry Styles self-titled solo album is set for release on May 12.
And it seems the former One Direction star is finally giving us a sneak peak into his love life in his new record.
In a teaser interview with Rolling Stone, Styles reveals that Kendall Jenner is a massive influence in the upcoming album.
Talking in this month’s issue of the magazine, Harry explains,
She’s a huge part of the album. Sometimes you want to tip the hat, and sometimes you just want to give them the whole cap … and hope they know it’s just for them.
The 23-year old singer and Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kendall first got together in 2013.
And their relationship was on and off up until last year, with the pair even enjoying a romantic Caribbean vacation together.
But it’s thought the Victoria Secret’s model is now seeing ASAP Rocky, while Harry remains single.
However, Kendall isn’t the only former flame to find their way into Harry’s lyrics.
His ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift is also an influence in the debut album.
Discussing Swift’s songs about him, which include ‘Out of the Woods’ and ‘Style’, Harry said,
I’m lucky if everything [we went through] helped create those songs. That’s what hits your heart. That’s the stuff that’s hardest to say, and it’s the stuff I talk least about.
Talking of his interview with Rolling Stone, Harry said on Twitter,
I’m very happy to be on the cover of a @RollingStone magazine. Thank you for having me.
The ‘Sign of the Times’ singer made his Saturday Night Live debut this weekend, performing his solo single live for the first time.
He also gave an exclusive performance of ‘Ever Since New York’, a song rumoured to be about Swift.
He is the fourth member of One Direction to release solo material since their hiatus in 2015.
