Tributes Pour In For Prince One Year On From His Death

It’s hard to believe that a year has already passed since the death of music legend Prince.

But fans aren’t letting the anniversary pass by as tons of tributes are pouring in for the late star.

The world was shaken by the ‘1999’ singer’s death last year.

Former President Barack Obama notably said that ‘nobody’s spirit was stronger, bolder or more creative.’

On the day that marks his passing, Twitter is seeing thousands of moving posts about the iconic singer.

Fans from his hometown in Minneapolis, Minnesota, have been honouring Prince throughout the city.

The famous Lawry bridge is currently purple to pay homage to the record-breaking singer.

The award-winning artist met his untimely death due to an accidental opioid overdose.

Veteran attorney, L. Londell McMillan, who worked closely with Prince during his career tweeted:

Fans are also paying tribute to the icon at Paisley Park, the recording studio where Prince died.

The four-day event sees Prince’s former band members perform at the complex.

There is also a street party outside Fourth Avenue, the club where he made his legendary song ‘Purple Rain’.
