Fans Rejoice As Kesha Is Set Free From Dr. Luke: Producer Sacked From Sony Music

The legal battle is still ongoing, but there is now hope for Kesha as Dr. Luke is no longer the CEO of Kemosabe Records.

The famous record producer no longer works for Sony Music, and it’s pretty clear his court case with the ‘Tik Tok’ singer has something to do with it.

It’s been over two years since Kesha filed a lawsuit against the 43-year old.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Dr. Luke is no longer an alum of the music company.

The court statement reads,

Lukasz Gottwald is no longer the CEO of Kemosabe Records and does not have authority to act on its behalf.

Kesha is suing him for sexual assault and emotional abuse as well as other violating behaviour during her career.

The claims go back to over a decade ago but are still yet to be resolved.

#FreeKesha began trending the web back in 2014 when Kesha’s ordeal was revealed.

She has been trying to break free from her contract with Dr. Luke ever since.

Worldwide stars, such as Adele, have all spoken out in support of the singer as she tries to get justice for her abuse.

It seems fans are already hopeful at the news, with some taking to Twitter to express their excitement for potential new music from the star.

One fan wrote, ‘Mad because it took Sony long enough. But I’m so happy because Kesha is finally free! Come through with that music girl!’, along with the hashtag #DrLukeIsOverParty.

Another is super happy to learn of the news,

And it seems like the whole of Twitter is on Kesha’s side right now…

Despite the explicit allegations, Dr. Luke is still denying having ever hurt Kesha.
