Chloe Moretz To Star In Upcoming Film ‘Party Of The Century’ Alongside Josh Gad
Chloe Moretz is returning to our screens!
The Kick-Ass star has been cast in upcoming blockbuster Party of the Century.
Jack O’Connell and Josh Gad are also signed up for the movie, which is based on author Truman Capote’s infamous ‘Black and White Ball’ in the ’60s.
Funny man Gad, who recently starred in Beauty and the Beast, will portray the American novelist himself.
O’Connell, who found his feet in the UK series Skins, will star as Pete in the impending movie.
His character is a working-class lift operator who falls head over heels for glamorous party goer Fawn, played by Moretz.
Directing duo, Robert Pulcini and Shari Springer Berman, are teaming up for the New York romance hit.
While Tim Perell will take on the position of producer.
The script sees them bring Capotes black and white dance to life all these years later.
The author’s prestigious event, held at the Plaza Hotel in NYC in 1966, saw everyone who was anyone on the guest list.
But the iconic ball will now get it’s chance to play out on screen.
And it seems the directors are happy with their star-studded cast line up, telling Screen International,
“Our film is a delicate balance of worlds converging at a pivotal moment in time.”
“Jack, Chloe and Josh are brilliant performers who can embody these worlds while bringing the electricity and pathos required to make the story fly.”
It’s thought that the film will be launched at Cannes Film Festival.
