Katy Perry Finally Reveals The Name Of Her New Album And Its Release Date
She’s kept us waiting for weeks, but Katy Perry has finally revealed the name of her upcoming album.
Her fifth studio album is titled ‘Witness’ and luckily for all you Katy Cats, it will hit shelves as soon as June 9.
It’s the follow up to her 2013 hit album ‘Prism’ which brought to life number one tracks like ‘Roar’ and ‘Dark Horse’.
But it’s clear that Perry’s fifth album has just as much to give.
The California girl has been teasing us with what’s to come for weeks.
Her single ‘Chained to the Rhythm’ saw her make an impressive comeback in February this year.
And her latest hit featuring Migos, ‘Bon Apetit’, showcases Perry’s much-loved quirkiness perfectly.
Her upcoming record will be followed by a huge tour across North America.
She’ll kick things of on September 7 and take over 43 arenas before finishing up in Vancouver in February 2018.
And on the list of venues are the iconic Madison Square Garden and the Nassau Coliseum.
You can get your hands on tickets on May 22 but there’s some even better news for her hardcore fans.
The blonde songstress has decided to go one step further.
Every ticket purchased for the ‘Witness Tour’ will come with a copy of her brand new album.
Fans are eagerly awaiting her appearance on the Saturday Night Live season finale this Saturday.
It’s thought she will take to the stage to perform ‘Bon Apetit’.
She recently spoke out about her long-standing feud with Taylor Swift.
And it seems the ‘Kissed a Girl’ singer won’t stand for anything off anyone.
“Don’t come for me. Anyone… And that’s not to any one person and don’t quote me that it is, because it’s not. It’s not about that.”
Talking about her fifth album, Perry also said,
“It’s about everything that I see out there that I digest. I think there’s a healing in it for me and vulnerability. If people want to connect and be healed and feel vulnerable and feel empowered and strong, God bless and here it is.”
