Vanessa Hudgens Is The New Judge On So You Think You Can Dance
Vanessa Hudgens is joining the judging panel on Fox’s new series of So You Think You Can Dance.
The High School Musical star is the third judge, alongside Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy, in the upcoming fourteenth series.
Hudgens isn’t completely new to the judging game, as she starred as a guest judge on Project Runway in 2016.
But now she’s ready to become a more permanent face on our TV screens as she gears up for the new series of the talent contest.
And it’s clear she certainly has what it takes to find America’s biggest dance stars.
She showed off a few moves herself in Grease Live last year, starring as Rizzo in the live remake.
The special was dedicated to Hudgen’s father who sadly passed away the day before it was broadcast.
Fellow judge Lythgoe is happy to have the Spring Breakers star on board, saying,
There was instant chemistry in the audition rounds, and I know the SYTYCD fans will love her as much as we do. Vanessa is an accomplished artist and brings her own brand of enthusiasm and energy to our panel.
Vanessa herself has spoken out about her new gig on Twitter, sharing the news alongside with the caption ‘so excited’.

Mary Murphy – who quit the show after Season 11 – is returning as a judge, and the show is going back to its original format.
It will feature dancers between the age of 18-30, despite last year trying a new angle with So You Think You Can Dance: Next Generation, which featured young hopefuls between the ages of eight and 13.
Things have been going well for the actress recently, receiving praise for hosting this year’s Billboard Awards in Las Vegas.
Vanessa will make her SYTYCD debut on June 12.
