Lindsay Lohan And Rupert Grint Confirmed As Co-Stars For Season Two Of Comedy ‘Sick Note’

Lindsay Lohan is officially returning to our screens, and this time she’s teaming up with Harry Potter star Rupert Grint.

She is joining the lineup for the second season of Sky’s comedy series Sick Note.

Taking to Twitter this morning, the former child start posted a snap of her on set alongside co-stars Grint and Nick Frost.

Jokes with Rupert Grint and [Nick Frost] on set of my new show Sick Note.

While the first series of Sick Note is yet to air on Sky, filming for season two is already underway.

The first series will air towards the end of the year, with Grint starring as lead character Daniel Glass.

Daniel’s life is going nowhere, with him being stuck in a dead-end job under the watchful eye of his difficult boss – played by Don Johnson.

Things turn from bad to worse when Glass is diagnosed with a terminal illness.

And although it later turns out to be a false alarm, Daniel keeps the lie going to his colleagues, friends and family.

Lohan steps in during season two, starring as Katerina West – Daniel’s boss’s daughter.

The British comedy will also air on streaming site Now TV.

While we’re not expecting to see the Mean Girls star on our screens until 2018, fans are already buzzing for Lohan’s upcoming role.

One fan replied to her tweet saying,

LEGEND LOHAN COMING FOR THAT OSCAR.

Another wrote,

Congratulations… I’m so happy for you.

And the compliments didn’t stop flooding in for the Parent Trap actress.

Congrats on the show and seeing your worth! Proud of you!

And the fact she’s returning with none other than Ron Weasley by her side is just too much for some fans.

The two redheads I love!

OMG Lindsay and Rupert!

Talking of the upcoming show, Sky’s Head of Comedy – Jon Mountague – explained,

One lie leads to the next in this unsettlingly brilliant comedy that will hook viewers in and have them on the very edge of their seats. Filming for series two is already under way and we’re delighted to confirm Lindsay Lohan will be joining Rupert and Nick in this stellar comedy cast.
