Liam Payne Strips It Down In Acoustic Rendition Of Debut Solo Single

Liam Payne is capturing girls’ hearts all over again with an acoustic rendition of his solo single ‘Strip That Down’.

Just a few weeks on from the release of his debut song, featuring Quavo, the 23-year old has dropped a stripped back version and fans can’t get enough already.

The former One Direction star took to Twitter this morning to announce the release, saying,

I stripped down #StripThatDown for you.

Since his announcement this morning, fans have been crazy over the slower version of his hip-hop track.

One wrote,

Are you even real Liam?! The acoustic version of Strip That Down is so beautiful.

And it seems others feel the same way.

I love it just as much as I loved the studio version. So much talent inside such a humble heart.

While others seem to think Liam’s track is better without Quavo featuring.

One of Liam’s fans tweeted,

Can you believe that in the end the better version of Strip That Down is featuring free and only Liam’s voice and a guitar? Because I can.

Liam’s tweet has since had over 11,000 retweets, with the guitar-filled track proving to be a hit.

The original track debuted at number one on the Billboard & Twitter Top Tracks chart, with him being the fourth 1D star to top the social media based chart.

It also peaked at number 3 on the UK’s official chart.

Talking about his life after the One Direction split, Payne told Billboard,

To be honest with you, I wasn’t going to do a solo venture, I was just going to go into songwriting and carry on and do that. But then I was like, ‘You’ve been trying to do this since you were 14 years old. You would be ridiculously stupid to turn down the option to have a deal.’ Coming out of the band, we had some pretty good opportunities around us. I had to do something.

As well as his solo career taking off, Liam has just became a dad with long-term girlfriend Cheryl, 33.

He recently revealed he is going to get a chest tattoo in honour of his son, Bear.

When talking to The Sun about marking his son’s birth with some new ink, the singer explained,

I haven’t decided what yet but I’ll make it a surprise. I’ve got to do my chest next, which is going to really hurt.
