Tom Holland Hits The Red Carpet For Premiere Of Spider-Man: Homecoming
Tom Holland took to the red carpet for the Spider-Man Homecoming premiere last night for his turn as the web-shooting legend.
He’s the third actor to take on the role in 15 years, following in the footsteps of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.
But so far, despite the new film still awaiting its release date, the 21-year old is taking to the superhero spotlight well.
Talking to ET Online at the LA event, the British actor explained,
I’m losing my mind right now. This is so surreal. My whole like, last three years has been leading up to this moment and we’re here today and I can’t believe it. I genuinely can’t believe it.
And it seems he made the movie premiere a family affair, bringing his mom, two brothers and grandparents along.
His youngest brother, 13-year old Patrick, spoke out about how proud he is of Tom, saying,
[I’m] very proud, yeah, I try to be like him. I try I do a lot of auditions, but I never get them.
But having a Hollywood actor for a big brother can only go in his favour, with Holland going on to say,
Maybe you can play young Spider-Man. Maybe if we do a flashback you can be baby Peter Parker.
Tweeting of the premiere, Holland told his 384,000 followers,
Big day! Can’t wait to meet you all and share this crazy experience with everyone. Let’s Spidey the s**t outta today.

Although we saw the West End star in the Spider-Man costume in Captain America: Civil War, he is finally having his solo venture as the world’s favourite superhero.
And the Homecoming sequel has one of the most diverse cast lineups yet, with Michael Keaton and Zendaya starring alongside Holland.
Keaton will take on the role of bad-guy Vulture in the impending hit, while Zendaya portrays one of Holland’s classmates.
Robert Downey Jr. is also in the film, reprising his role as the iconic Iron Man.
Talking of the diverse cast for the 2017 film, Holland revealed,
I think the amazing thing that [director] Jon Watts did was cast who was best for the role rather than who looked right, according to the comics. I really think he made an incredible decision. It’s paid off. I’m so glad he made that decision. I’ve got friends for life and they’re brilliant in the movie.
Donald Glover, Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon and Laura Harrier also star in the highly-anticipated release.
Spider-Man Homecoming is out for cinema release on July 7.
