Eric Benét Hits Out At Jay Z Following His 4:44 Album Release

Eric Benét woke up to find that Jay-Z has penned him into the lyrics of one of his newest songs.

But while being mentioned by one of the world’s biggest rappers may initially seem like a good thing, Jay-Z has used Benét as the prime example of how not to treat your woman.

There is already tons of speculation that Jay-Z’s new album, 4:44, is him admitting to cheating on Bey.

In the track ‘Kill Jay Z’, he refers to his unfaithfulness to Beyoncé almost being like the ruthless cheating by Benét in his marriage to Halle Berry.

He raps,

You almost went Eric Benét / Let the baddest girl in the world get away / I don’t even know what else to say / Nigga, never go Eric Benét

And even though most people would keep quiet after being called out by none other than Jay-Z, Benét has already fired back at the ‘Ride or Die’ star.

Tweeting to his 200,000 followers, the R&B star wrote,

Hey yo Jay Z! Just so ya know, I got the baddest girl in the world as my wife… like right now!

Following up his comeback tweet with a peace emoji, it’s almost like the 50-year old singer-songwriter is asking for trouble.

After infamously betraying Halle in the early 2000s, Benét got quite the reputation for being a compulsive cheater.

He even checked into a sex addict rehab clinic in 2002.

But the Grammy-nominated artist has had no trouble in letting Jay-Z know he’s now over his bad-boy ways.

He remarried in 2011 to Prince’s ex-wife, Manuela Testolini, who he now describes as the ‘baddest girl in the world’, mocking Jay-Z’s lyrics.

Jay-Z is yet to reply to Eric’s post, but the Twittersphere has so far been loving it.

Some are even suggesting that Benét’s wife herself wrote the tweet.

Another tweeter wrote,

Eric Benet’s wife legit woke this man up out of REM sleep so he could watch her respond to Jay-Z on his account.

While this tweeter shared a hilarious gif of ex-wife Halle Berry saying, “doesn’t he mean, he had…?”
