Classic movies such Reservoir Dogs, Forrest Gump and even Harry Potter have a whole host of deleted scenes that many fans have never seen before.
Here are 26 movies that would have looked a lot different if scenes hadn’t been deleted.
During Forrest Gump’s speech, his microphone cuts out, which made us all curious about what he actually said at the Washington Memorial. According to a deleted scene, he says: “Sometimes when people go to Vietnam, they go home to their mommas without any legs. Sometimes they don’t go home at all. That’s a bad thing. That’s all I have to say about that.”
Shortly after The Shining was released in theatres, Stanley Kubrick removed a scene where Stuart Ullman visits Wendy and Danny in the hospital to tell them they were unable to find Jack’s body. The scene also suggested that Ullman was aware of the evil in the Overlook.
Return Of The Jedi
A deleted scene from Return of the Jedi sees Yoda admit that he would not allow Obi-Wan to inform Luke about his relationship to Vader. All of the Star Wars movies show the Jedi’s to have hidden agendas, including Yoda, but if this scene had have been kept, then some of the blame would have been removed from Obi-Wan for hiding such an important piece of information from Luke.
